The Lizard at the Circus
“Life is a journey.”
Prologue
Hello, my name is Stu. I’m a small lizard living in GIANT world. Seriously, it is GIANT world. You can’t imagine what I see every day. Tall, towering legs of those creatures called humans; their living spaces called house; their mode of transportations called cars, and so on. I found all of them to be fascinating, albeit threatening as well. Those giant things can kill me any time, if I’m not careful.
The world I live in is also a lonely place. We lizards are lonely creatures. I never knew my parents. After I was born, I did everything on my own. I learned to walk on my four feet on my own. Nobody fed me, and I still remember how I ate my first fly myself. It’s not that there is no other lizard around here, but we tend to ignore each other and mind our own business.
The one thing that I hate most being a lizard is that we seem to live in this world without any purpose. I have seen it all. We lizards seem to be born only for wondering around, climbing to all places, and in the end, dying. I don’t want to be like that. I don’t want to be just average lizard. There must be something in the world for me, and I’m looking for that. Here is my story.
